Sweet and Chocolatey Puff Pastry Twists

This simple, quick, and delicious recipe will be a great addition to your holiday entertaining table. It comes together really fast, so you could make a few different flavours at a time.

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, working with one sheet at a time, roll Farm Boy™ Butter Puff Pastry until it measures 9” x 13”.
  3. Gently distribute half of the Farm Boy™ Chocolate Hazelnut Spread thinly on pastry sheet, leaving 1/8” border all around it. Sprinkle with nuts, if using.
  4. Fold puff pastry sheet in half lengthwise and using rolling pin, flatten sheet to press together. Roll out to 15” x 9”.
  5. Using a knife or pizza wheel, cut into 1” strips crosswise. Twist each strip holding from the ends and twisting in opposite directions. Place on parchment lined sheet pans, placing 1” apart and pressing the ends onto the trays so they stay in place.
  6. Repeat process with second sheet of pastry.
  7. Chill for 15 minutes.
  8. In small bowl, whisk together egg and water. Brush twists with egg wash.
  9. Bake for 13-15 minutes, until golden brown. Cool on racks. Serve dusted with icing sugar, if using.

  • flour for dusting
  • 1 pack Farm Boy™ Butter Puff Pastry thawed in refrigerator overnight
  • 1/2-2/3 cup Farm Boy™ Chocolate Hazelnut Spread
  • 1/2 cup chopped toasted nuts (almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, cashews, or pecans), optional
  • 1 egg
  • 1 Tbsp water
  • icing sugar for dusting, optional
