Beer-braised sausages with sauerkraut is a rustic and comforting dish that features succulent sausages simmered in beer until tender. The sausages soak up the rich, savoury flavours. The sausages are cooked alongside tangy sauerkraut, which adds a delightful zing to the dish, creating a balance in your mouth.

Directions

  1. In Dutch oven, heat Farm Boy™ Extra Virgin Olive Oil and cook Farm Boy™ Naturals Double Smoked Bacon until almost crispy.
  2. Add onion and garlic and cook over medium-low heat until golden.
  3. Add Farm Boy™ Sauerkraut, beer, Farm Boy™ Organic Low Sodium Chicken Broth, Farm Boy™ Oktoberfest Sausages, salt, and pepper.
  4. Bring to a boil, then turn down to simmer and cook, partially covered for 30-40 minutes, until liquid is reduced by half.
  5. Serve with Farm Boy™️ Dijon Mustard and roasted potatoes.

  • 1 1/2 cups beer
  • 1 cup Farm Boy™ Organic Low Sodium Chicken Broth
  • 6-8 Farm Boy™️ Oktoberfest Sausages
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • Farm Boy™ Dijon Mustard for serving
