Ottawa, ON (October 28, 2016) – Selected by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO), Farm Boy is proud to be one of the earliest food stores to include wine in their product offering today.
Farm Boy introduced beer into three stores last December, and will now extend that offering to more stores along with adding wine.
Selling wine and beer is another way to offer local products to its customers, and Farm Boywill carry these products in six of their 23 stores starting today including: Farm Boy™ Tenth Line, Blossom Park and Westboro (beer only) in Ottawa, plus Farm Boy London (Beaverbrook), Whitby and Pickering. With an additional three stores launching next week in Kitchener, Brantford and Cambridge (beer only).
The fresh food chain, which has grown significantly beyond its Eastern Ontario roots in the past few years, has built a solid reputation for providing the freshest, highest quality foods and excellent customer service, with an emphasis on local, artisan and specialty foods.
“Our customers have come to enjoy the experience of finding high quality, artisanal products made fresh in Ontario in our stores, so naturally we will apply this same approach with wine and beer,” said Jeff York, Farm Boy Co-CEO. “Introducing unique, specialty wine and beer products is a natural extension of our business and will complement the shopping experience giving customers another great reason to shop in our stores.”
