Put on a “hoppy” face as you get ready to host an Easter brunch! This spring holiday offers us the chance to get together with loved ones to enjoy good food, good drinks, and all the beautiful colours of the new season. If you’ve aged out of the Easter hunt bracket (although we don’t think there’s a limit to searching for chocolate eggs), you might look at hosting a brunch instead.
From décor to drinks to food and fun, we have a handy guide for everything you’ll need! Pick up all your brunch supplies at your local Farm Boy and score “egg-cellent” deals over on our flyer page! Read on to learn how you can put “A Farm Boy Fresh Twist” on a classic Easter brunch.
Step 1: Offer Springtime Beverages
Don’t let your guests get parched! For an Easter brunch, it’s best to offer guests a variety of drinks depending on their tastes. Caffeinated options like coffee or tea are always excellent in the morning, as are fresh juices or punches. Sparkling water is always welcome for guests who want some extra hydration, and the bubbles make it feel a bit fancier. Provide assorted glassware for your guests. Coffee cups, tumblers, and flutes all have their place at an Easter brunch table. Some options we think will wow your guests when you host your holiday brunch are:

Farm Boy™ Oat Lattes
This Farm Boy product ticks all the boxes when it comes to fitting your guests’ dietary needs, as it’s both vegan and gluten-free. Our Oat Lattes come in four delicious flavours that are made with flash-brewed coffee or tea. Wonderfully creamy, you can have them available for guests to grab and enjoy or pour them in a glass over ice.

Recipe: Lemon Strawberry Rosé Spritzer
For a sip of springtime, try this spritzer! Crafted using our Non-Alcoholic Sparkling Rosé, it’s a pink-hued sipper that’s best enjoyed in the sunshine. Mix up a batch of these for a low-maintenance, crowd-pleasing mocktail at your Easter brunch. Serve it up in a punch bowl for guests to serve themselves or offer to play bartender and whip them up to order.

Farm Boy™ Orange Juice
Orange juice is a classic option for any brunch spread. Our Orange Juice contains only one ingredient: fresh-squeezed oranges. Loaded with natural vitamin C, a glass is like a taste of sunshine. Perfect for the littles attending your Easter brunch, you can also turn this juice into a mimosa. Simply mix it with your favourite sparkling wine, serve in a champagne flute, garnish with a slice of fresh orange or a sprig of rosemary and enjoy!
Step 2: Create an Easter-Themed Food Spread
If you’re inviting people over for an Easter brunch, you had better have plenty of food to serve them! The best recipes for an Easter brunch have lots of fresh, seasonal flavours and can be made in a big batch, rather than individual portions. If you don’t want to spend the entire celebration being a short-order cook, these recipes and dishes are simple enough to make ahead, prep, and/or create in minutes, saving you some holiday headaches. From sweet to savoury brunch dishes—plus delicious Easter treats, Farm Boy has you covered.
Sweet Easter Brunch Mains

Recipe: Mixed Berry Strata
A fancier cousin to bread pudding, this strata recipe uses Rideau Bakery challah bread mixed with ricotta, orange zest, and orange juice. We used our frozen Berry Blend for this recipe, which makes it extra easy and convenient to prep. Make this recipe the night before your Easter brunch and simply pop it in the oven the following morning. The smell alone will be enough to excite your guests!

Recipe: Sumo Citrus & Pecan Scones
Sumo citrus—a type of orange named for its unique “topknot”—is a fruit that’s incredibly sweet, juicy, and naturally seedless. Its bright flavour makes for a perfect ingredient in these tender, flaky scones. Paired with crunchy toasted pecans, you have an easy brunch dish. If you can’t find sumo citrus, this recipe would also be delicious with navel or Cara Cara oranges. Have a plate ready on your table for guests to enjoy at their leisure.

Recipe: Fruity Maple Yogurt and Cereal Parfaits
A quick and easy no-cook recipe is these yogurt and cereal parfaits. Endlessly customizable, we opted for classic berries and bananas in this layered brunch dish, but you can use whatever fruits you enjoy best. For those who are looking for something lighter for Easter brunch, use this recipe. Top with your favourite crunchy cereal and you have a simple brunch recipe ready in only a few minutes.
Savoury Easter Brunch Mains

Farm Boy™ Quiche Lorraine
Quiche is a classic brunch dish, and since our Quiche Lorraine is made with both ham and bacon, it’s also an ideal Easter brunch dish! A soft-custardy filling is poured into a golden pastry crust and baked until bubbling and cooked through. While you can serve this quiche hot or cold, we recommend serving it warm for Easter brunch, with some Lemon Garlic dressed greens on top for colour and flavour contrast. Place it on a cake stand or similar serving platter for an elegant presentation.

Recipe: Cheesy Breakfast Egg Bites with Prosciutto and Pesto
Making eggs for a group of people, with their specific cooking times and temperatures, is not a good idea when hosting a brunch. Instead, these protein-packed egg bites deliver gourmet taste without a gigantic headache. You can prep this recipe ahead of time and even cook it prior to your Easter brunch. These egg bites freeze well so that you can take some stress of your hosting gig or enjoy leftovers when you need something satisfying on a busy morning.

Recipe: Savoury Cheddar and Spinach Waffles
When you think of waffles, you probably think of sweet ones doused in maple syrup. These waffles are a bit different, in that they’re chock full of savoury ingredients like fresh spinach and Cheddar cheese. This recipe is perfect for Easter brunch, since you can whip up a batch a little bit ahead of time and keep them warm in the oven. Serve them with Farm Boy™ Honey & Pork Breakfast Sausages for another spin on sweet and savoury.
Sweet Easter Treats

Farm Boy™ Easter Eggs
What’s Easter without Easter eggs? Master chocolatiers use premium milk chocolate and decorate with coloured cocoa butter for these gorgeous eggs. Free of both peanuts and gluten, these classic treats are a great choice for those with allergies. Arrange a basket of them in the centre of your table or perch an egg in individual egg cups at each place setting for a sweet presentation.

Farm Boy™ Triple Chocolate Easter Loaf Cake
A beloved Easter treat, our Triple Chocolate Easter Loaf Cake is a must-try for the holiday. We make it from scratch in our Bake Shop using our own recipe, a luxurious white chocolate buttercream, and crushed chocolate mini eggs. It’s rich, moist, and only available for Easter. Slice it up for your brunch guests to munch on while they sip their coffee or tea.

Farm Boy™ Vegan Spiced Carrot Cupcakes
Embrace your inner Easter bunny and enjoy these Vegan Spiced Carrot Cupcakes! In addition to being plant-based, these light, moist cupcakes are also peanut- and tree nut-free. For bonus bunny points, decorate them with some Easter-themed sprinkles or decorations. Arrange them as part of your Easter sweets table or go big with an entire Easter sweets board!
Step 3: Decorate
Easter is a chance to celebrate the arrival of spring and all the beautiful colours that come with the season. Use whites, pastels, and natural hues to decorate your brunch table with pops of real florals or greenery. Break out the cloth napkins and arrange your table setting however you’d like. Try florals, foods, and extra special touches to create a beautiful Easter brunch spread.

Bunnies
Easter is a holiday that can be full of whimsy. If you have kiddos joining you for brunch, adorable cutout Easter cookies at each place setting can be a fun treat. Make your own using your favourite sugar cookie recipe or pick up some of our Easter Shape Cookies in our Bake Shop.

Florals
Embrace all the fresh beauty of the spring season by using it in your Easter brunch décor. At Farm Boy, our Floral Department is stocked with fresh flowers delivered at their peak for the longest vase life. Create your own bouquet or pick up any of our pre-arranged options to display on your table. Multiple vases with different blooms are a gorgeous way to transform your brunch table, but if you don’t have multiple vases, one centrepiece is also a beautiful option.

Eggs
If florals and bunnies aren’t your thing, how about an aesthetic Easter egg display? Whether you choose to incorporate fun wicker baskets on your table or set an egg at each place setting, it’s a colourful and playful way of celebrating the holiday. You can also nestle your egg in your napkins in a basket or bunny shape for a sweet place setting.
Tips for Hosting Easter Brunch
Hosting can be an overwhelming task, but don’t worry! We have a few tips to help ensure your brunch goes smoothly, with full bellies, happy guests, and an enjoyable time celebrating with loved ones.
- Set the table the night before. Don’t spend your morning running around trying to fold napkins and arrange flowers. Decorate your table and organize your place settings the night before and leave them all ready to go on the table for the following morning.
- Make and prepare as much as you can ahead of time. Many of the recipes in this guide can easily be made a day or two beforehand and then kept in the fridge or freezer until needed. You can also supplement your Easter brunch spread by choosing ready-made items from our Chef’s Market or Bake Shop. Prepared with expert care and the highest quality of ingredients, they can give that extra special chef’s touch to your Easter brunch table.
- Arrange a self-serve station for drinks. On a sideboard or other table, set up your glassware and beverages for guests to serve themselves. This way, you won’t be running around topping everyone up when you have other things to do.
- Play music. If you’re worried about a lull in conversation or one to add some liveliness while guests begin to arrive, play some soft, upbeat music in the background. Bonus points if it puts you in a good mood!
- Set up some Easter activities. Have little ones on the guest list? Set aside a low table (like a coffee table) away from the hubbub for fun Easter activities. Egg-decorating, paper crafts, and colouring sheets are a great way to keep kiddos engaged during a busy brunch.
